Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be enrolled on our Graduate Training Scheme and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in the Distilled Spirits Industry across the globe. The Graduate Training Scheme will involve rotational placements to learn about the diverse nature of our business. Example placements could include the following;
- Work as part of our commissioning team providing start up support to new build distillery projects and upgrades/expansions across the globe. Current locations range from Invergordon in Scotland to Zapopan in Mexico.
- Carry out front end design and engineering work to support our estimating team when producing proposals for exciting new projects.
- Opportunity to carry out a work placement based in our Hong Kong office to support new build distillery projects in the Far East.
- Become part of our Rothes based Engineering team and carry out process design for pumps/heat exchangers and develop P&ID’s for projects across a variety of industries.
- Placement opportunities within our Process Safety Department, and assist with DSEAR Reports and HAZOP studies.
On completion of the Graduate Scheme, the candidate will progress to the role of Process Engineer and will be a key team member for projects in the Distillation Spirits Industry and the Energy Sector. For distillation projects, these will range from minor upgrades to existing plants through to full ‘turnkey’ new build distilleries. A number of these projects are based locally, but there will also be the opportunity to travel abroad to our various work sites across the world. For energy sector projects, these will include fabrications of pressure vessels, skid units, pipework and structural steelwork.
The role will primarily be based in our Rothes office, however there may be opportunities to work from other locations on completion of the graduate scheme.
